Pure MLM Review – Still The Same Genesis Pure Supplement Scam?

You are doing research on Pure because someone approached you about it and you want to know if this company is legit or a scam. That’s what we’re about to find out.

If you have been here before, welcome back!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my Pure review!

One of the common questions I get asked often is if Pure a scam or not.

We’re going to take the next few minutes to take a look and get some answers.

The main concern I have for people who are researching this opportunity is that I don’t want them to get burned. In the profession of network marketing, anything could happen.

A company ends up shutting down in a few months due to bad business decisions for being non-compliant, compensation plan change, or the company not paying it’s distributors.

Even worst, your direct sponsor or upline leaves the company. Leaving you hanging to dry.

I understand that many of you are new. Sometimes we are not in a position to make a solid business assessment due to inexperience.

Additionally, I am going to offer you a way for you to escape the ‘9 to 5’ if you decide that this company is not for you.

More information about this program will be at the end of this post.

You landed on this blog because you are thinking about joining Pure because someone approached you about it or you just want to try out their products.

Unlike all the other Pure reviews on the internet, this is completely third party unbiased. I have no relationship with this company what so ever so when you read this blog post all the way through and pay attention, I can assure you that I am not going to ask you to join or buy.

By the time you have read this unbiased review, you will be able to decide if Pure is a fit or not. I do not promote, nor I am affiliated with Pure. I stand neutral in the current development of the Pure business.

With that said, let’s dive in!

What is Pure?

Pure is an MLM company that sells products in the health and beauty niche. The company sells products that are related to weight loss, nutrition, increasing performance and providing skincare.

The company is similar to Seacret Direct, Kyani, and Visi.

The company was actually called Genesis Pure which was established back in 2009.

They had to go through a lot of changes and one of the changes was to remove the Genesis Pure CEO Lindsey Duncan for fraud in 2014.

Lindsey Duncan

The FTC settled for around $9 million but the damage was done.

So, Genesis Pure also changed the name of the company and basically dropped the “genesis” and kept it simply “Pure”.

The company also added some products and rebranded themselves a bit with a new look, labels, and marketing.

So, Daren Hogge who is the current person that runs Pure, used to be the CEO for a different company called “Q Sciences”.

Daren Hogge

We believe the name changed happened sometime in 2017 due to some of the marketing material dates that we found online.

That is all the information that we found about the products that Pure offers, let’s move on to the next section.

What does Pure sell?

Pure offers a variety of health supplements and health products.

One of the reasons why Lindsey was sued by the FTC was because she was the head formulator for Genesis Pure and committed fraud.

They still have some of the Genesis Pure products with the original labels on them (at this time) but they also offer many additional products as well.

Here is a quick breakdown of the categories of products they offer:

  • Brain Health Products
  • Blood Sugar Products
  • Bone Products
  • Digestion Health Products
  • Products for when you Exercise
  • Fonus Products
  • Heart Health Products
  • Products for Hydration
  • Immune Products
  • Joint Health Products
  • Products for your Muscles
  • Skincare Products
  • Sleep Products
  • Stress Products
  • Weight Management Products

The Pure compensation plan

The main way that the Pure compensation plan pays for the residual commissions is through the MLM binary pay plan structure.

For those that are not familiar with how the binary compensation plan works, here is a quick breakdown:

  • Binaries have only 2 legs which are your right and left.
  • You need to qualify for these commissions by personally recruiting at least 1 active member on both legs.
  • You can build either leg through direct and indirect sponsoring.
  • Binaries can be built to unlimited depth.
  • The leg that has less volume is considered the weak and your “pay” leg. (the leg you earn commissions on)
  • Each leg will count for its own volume.
  • When you earn a commission in the binary, it is called a cycle.

Hopefully, this explanation helps those that are not that familiar with how the binary compensation plan works.

Another way that the company pays commissions for other bonuses is through the MLM unilevel compensation plan structure.

For those that are not familiar with the unilevel compensation plan, here is a quick breakdown:

  • 1st Level – The first level of your unilevel compensation plan will only have your personally recruited members on it.
  • 2nd Level – The second level of your unilevel compensation plan will only have team members that your level 1 members personally recruited members on it.
  • 3rd Level – The third level of your unilevel compensation plan will only have team members that your level 2 members personally recruited members on it.

Hopefully, this will offer a decent explanation of how the unilevel compensation plan works for those that were unfamiliar with it.

There are a total of 9 ways that you can make money in the Pure opportunity. Here is a breakdown of the ways that Pure pays you:

  • Ranks – When you qualify for a higher rank, you will be able to earn more money overall and also qualify for a one-time bonus commission at the higher ranks.
  • Retail Commissions – When you sell products to customers, you will be able to earn retail commissions.
  • Enrollment Bonus – These are considered the fast start commissions and pay out a much higher percentage for the first product order that your personally recruited member purchases.
  • Sponsor Bonus – Another performance-based commission when you sponsor a certain amount of reps.
  • Residual Commissions – These commissions are paid calculated on the binary compensation plan structure for product purchases starting on the second month of membership.
  • Generation Bonus – These are commissions that you can earn from your unilevel compensation plan and pays on multiple levels.
  • Leadership Bonus – Once you reach the higher ranks in the company, you will start earning these leadership bonuses.
  • Lifestyle Bonus – These are also considered residual commissions that payout each month as long as you stay qualified to receive them.
  • Rank Achievement Bonus – These commissions are paid out one-time and are paid to you when you reach certain ranks in the compensation plan.

What are the pros and cons of Pure?

Here are the pros:

  • A huge amount of products to sell.
  • Get healthy while you grow your business.
  • Earn bonuses and commission as you advance in rank.

Here are the cons:

  • Require a lot of selling and recruiting.
  • Overpriced products
  • High start-up costs

My Final Thoughts

Before you decide to join Pure. I would recommend that you try out the products first. See if it’s a fit for what you’re looking for.

If you don’t believe in the products that you are selling, chances are others wouldn’t. Makes sense, right?

If you’ve decided that you want to join Pure, you must have the following if you want to succeed:

  • A support team and system that will help build your business.
  • A mentor that will take you by the hand and help you reach your dreams and goals.
  • A constant flow of new leads and prospects that want to join your business.

It is not easy to be successful in the Pure business and which is why more than 95% fail.

If you feel the person you are going to sign up with is not going to be able to give you the necessary tools to help you succeed…
