Thank you for taking the time to check out my Multipure review!
One of the common questions I get asked often are my thoughts about the Multipure drinking water purification system.
We’re going to take the next few minutes to take a look and get some answers.
Unfortunately, there’s no universal answer to if you need a water filter.
In the United States, public water supplies are regulated by the EPA under the Safe Drinking Water Act, and water leaving a public water-treatment plant must meet strict quality standards.
What that means is that not all potential contaminants are regulated.
Contaminants can enter the water after the water leaves the treatment plant, by infiltrating leaky pipes or by leaching out of some pipes’ interior walls. And water treatments done (or overlooked) at the plant can exacerbate leaching in pipes downstream. A good example is what happened in Flint, Michigan.
Broadly speaking, the US water supply is considered safe.
To know exactly what’s in your city’s tap water when it leaves the plant you can usually find your local supplier’s EPA-mandated Consumer Confidence Report online; if not, all public water suppliers are required to give you their CCR upon request.
But because of potential downstream contamination, the only way to know for certain what’s in your home’s water is to pay a local water-quality lab to test it.
As a rule of thumb: The older your home or community is, the greater the risk of downstream contamination.
The EPA says that “homes built before 1986 are more likely to have lead pipes, fixtures and solder”—once-common older materials don’t meet current codes.
Age also brings an increased likelihood of legacy groundwater pollution from pre-regulation industry, which can be a risk, especially when combined with age-related degradation of underground plumbing.
By the time you have read the review, you will be able to decide if Multipure is a fit or not.
With that said, let’s dive in!

What is Multipure?
Multipure is a company that believes in improving the quality of life, whether by providing products to make people healthier or by providing the opportunity for financial success. Multipure believes in family, and in work that complements home and family life.
Multipure believes that everyone should have affordable access to high-quality drinking water – water that is clean, delicious, and healthful; water that is free of contaminants that could negatively affect its taste, its appearance, and its healthfulness; water that is perfect for families, children, and pets.
Multipure wants to improve the world, one glass of water at a time, one person at a time.

Multipure was founded by two brothers, H. Allen Rice and Alvin E. Rice.
Their vision is to provide cleaner, more healthful drinking water to the public.
In 1974, they developed their signature technology, the solid carbon block filter; since then, the company has further grown and flourished, manufacturing and selling filters and drinking water systems for residential and commercial use around the world. They were the original manufacturer of the solid carbon block filter.

Multipure uses its network of Independent Builders to establish its products and opportunity throughout the United States, Canada, and the US Territories.
Multipure’s success has been built upon its values of family, integrity, and innovation; its establishment and growth can be traced to its belief in the strength of family and the promotion of the health and success of families everywhere.
The Multipure Product Line
The company offers a range of water filtration products that provide solutions to the water quality issues that plague Americans and people all over the world. Some people may have to treat their water to meet basic standards for safe consumption, while others may be interested in improving the aesthetic of their water so that it smells and tastes more pleasant.

Some people may have to treat their water to meet basic standards for safe consumption, while others may be interested in improving the aesthetic of their water so that it smells and tastes more pleasant.
The Center for Disease Control points out that, while the U.S. enjoys an exceptionally safe water system compared to most other parts of the world, there are several ways water can become contaminated. These sources of contamination include:
If you get your water from a well, then there are many potential sources of contamination to be aware of, including agricultural, commercial, industrial, and residential sources. Anything that negatively affects the groundwater can make your well water unsafe to drink. The only way to be sure your water is safe is to treat it with a reliable filter.
Aqualuxe

The Aqualuxe is Multipure’s top-of-the-line drinking water system that does not just filter water – it purifies it. It builds on the foundation of their carbon block filter and adds another layer of filtration that targets bacteria, viruses, and cysts that can make their way into the water. The Aqualuxe accomplishes this unprecedented level of contamination reduction through their PureBlock solid carbon block filter.
The Aqualuxe embraces a contemporary edge, both in its sophisticated appearance and its capabilities. The Aqualuxe is even Wi-Fi enabled, making it the modern piece of filtration technology your kitchen needs.
Aquaperform

One of our most comprehensive drinking water systems, the Aquaperform uses our solid carbon block filter to minimize contaminants that affect the healthfulness of water, as well as its smell and taste. In addition to filtering the major contaminants that all of our systems reduce, the Aquaperform is also able to filter Arsenic V, a dangerous toxin that can seep into groundwater.
This stainless-steel filter offers great versatility, with below-the-sink and countertop options. If Arsenic V is a concern, then the Aquaperform is an excellent drinking water system that will deliver the superior level of filtration.
Aquaversa

The Aquaversa is one of the best-sellers at Multipure. The Aquaversa uses the powerful solid carbon block filter that makes all of our filtration systems effective to turn your tap water into better-tasting, better-smelling, and more healthful water. The Aquaversa sports a sleek, stainless steel finish and is available in a range of configurations, making it a very versatile option.
The countertop configuration offers either a single or double-hose diverter valve to connect to your existing faucet. Alternatively, the below-the-sink option connects to a dedicated filtered water faucet.
Aquamini

The smallest and most portable of the Multipure drinking water systems is the Aquamini. This stainless-steel, compact system uses Multipure’s industry-leading solid carbon block filter to leave you with water that is better smelling, better tasting, and, most importantly, better for your health. The Aquamini system has a filter capacity of 250 gallons and is equipped with a dual-hose and diverter valve so you can select whether you want to dispense unfiltered or filtered water.
Despite the Aquamini’s impressive filtering power, it is small enough that it can easily fit into a suitcase or backpack.
Multipure compensation plan

As a Multipure Builder, you can earn money through your personal sales and prospecting efforts, as well as the efforts of your downline business network:
- Personal Sales – earn commissions on products sold directly to customers.
- Sponsored Builder Sales – earn commissions on products sold by active Builders that you have personally sponsored, aka, 2nd-level Builders.
- Downline Sales – earn commissions on products sold by active Builders below your sponsored Builders (up to 8 levels below).
- Replacement Filter Sales – earn commissions on replacement filters purchased by your customers and sold by your active 10-level network.
- CASH Sales – earn commissions through the Company Allocated Sales Handler (CASH) program; commissionable products purchased directly through Multipure (without a selling Builder) are allocated to PAR-qualified Builders registered for the CASH program and the Back Office.
Personal Activity Requirement (PAR)
This enables Builders to receive commission and bonuses on their active downline network’s sales and filter replacements.
PAR-eligible Products
Products that count toward PAR include Drinking Water Systems, Drinking Water System Starter Kits, the Ultimate Business Builder Kit, and Multipure Home Essentials (the Aquasource Whole House System, Aquagrow, Aquashower, and Aquasplash). NOTE: Starter Kit Tools, replacement filters, accessories, replacement parts, & sales materials do NOT count toward PAR.
Basic Starter Kit
Also known as Starter Kit Tools, this consists of a Builder Application Form and a set of Multipure brochures, forms, and sales aids. The cost of this kit includes the Builder Registration fee, Multipure Compensation Plan but does not include a Multipure Drinking Water System.
Personal Net Volume (PNV)
This is the cumulative total commissionable net value of a Builder’s sales of PAR-eligible products.
Achievement Level Volume (ALV)
This is the total commissionable net value of a Builder’s sales of PAR-eligible products over any period of time, and is used to determine Achievement Level. ALV is equal to:
- 100% of your personal sales
- +50% of your 2nd level Builders’ personal sales
- +25% of your 3rd level Builders’ personal sales
Monthly Achievement Level Volume (MALV)
This is the monthly commissionable net value of a builder’s sales of PAR-eligible products, equal to:
- 100% of your monthly personal sales
- +50% of your active 2nd level Builders’ monthly personal sales
- +25% of your active 3rd level Builders’ monthly personal sales
Activity Bonus
This is an array of bonuses based on your Achievement Level and your MALV during the month. Activity Bonuses range from 0.5% to as much as 6% of the commissionable net value on sales made by the Builders in your active network. Your Monthly Achievement Level Volume determines the amount of your Activity Bonus; the maximum amount is based on your current Achievement Level. EXAMPLE: You are a Senior Builder and your MALV is less than $600 (Senior Builder MALV goal) but equal to or greater than $300 (Executive Builder MALV goal), so you will receive bonuses at the Executive Builder level. If your MALV is equal to or greater than $1,200 (Master Builder MALV goal), you will only receive bonuses at your current Achievement Level of Senior Builder, because you have not yet reached the Master Builder Achievement Level.
Rank Advancement Bonus
This is a fixed bonus paid to Builders the month after reaching specific Achievement Levels. Each Rank Advancement Bonus (RAB) is paid as follows:
- Executive Builder: $50
- Senior Builder: $100
- Master Builder: $250
- Network Director: $500
- National Network Director: $1000
Rollup Bonus
You can receive a Rollup Bonus on sales made by Builders in your active ten-level network when they are at a lower achievement level, and you are PAR qualified. You would receive the unearned portion of the commission when not paid to another active Builder in your network closer to the sale. EXAMPLE: You are a Master Builder with a commission rate of 35%. A member of your downline network is a Junior Builder and earns a 20% commission on a product sale. The 15% difference between your commission rate and the selling Builder’s commission rate will “roll-up” to you unless the 15% – or some portion thereof – is paid to another PAR-qualified Builder at a closer level in the network above the Junior Builder.
CASH Program
Receive commissions through the Company Allocated Sales Handler (CASH) program when you are PAR-qualified and registered for the Multipure Back Office. Commissionable products purchased directly through Multipure (without a selling Builder) are allocated to Builders registered for the CASH program.
- The in-turn Active Builder in the CASH roster is allocated 25% of the DWS commission that the Builder would normally earn on a personal sale. This percentage increases to 50% for current Founders’ Circle members and 75% for current Executive Council members.
- If the purchasing customer also signs up as a new Builder at the same time, they will be assigned to the 2nd Level of the same Builder that receives the product commission.
- CASH commissions will be allocated to the 1st-level in-turn Active Builder ONLY. Upline or downline commissions are NOT allocated through the CASH program.
- Orders allocated through the CASH program do not count toward ALV, MALV, PAR, EC/FC qualification, or contest points.
- CASH eligibility is determined by the exact PAR-qualification date, and NOT by PAR-qualification month.
- Builders that lose PAR-qualification will be placed at the bottom of the CASH roster upon requalification.
