Liv Global Review – Another MLM Travel And Lifestyle Scam?

You are doing research on Liv Global because someone approached you about it and you want to know if this company is legit or a scam. That’s what we’re about to find out.

If you have been here before, welcome back!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my Liv Global review!

One of the common questions I get asked often is if Liv Global a scam or not.

We’re going to take the next few minutes to take a look and get some answers.

The main concern I have for people who are researching this opportunity is that I don’t want them to get burned. In the profession of network marketing, anything could happen.

A company ends up shutting down in a few months due to bad business decisions for being non-compliant, compensation plan change, or the company not paying it’s distributors.

Even worst, your direct sponsor or upline leaves the company. Leaving you hanging to dry.

I understand that many of you are new. Sometimes we are not in a position to make a solid business assessment due to inexperience.

Additionally, I am going to offer you a way for you to escape the ‘9 to 5’ if you decide that this company is not for you.

More information about this program will be at the end of this post.

You landed on this blog because you are thinking about joining Liv Global because someone approached you about it or you just want to try out their products.

Unlike all the other Liv Global reviews on the internet, this is completely third party unbiased. I have no relationship with this company what so ever so when you read this blog post all the way through and pay attention, I can assure you that I am not going to ask you to join or buy.

By the time you have read this unbiased review, you will be able to decide if Liv Global is a fit or not. I do not promote, nor I am affiliated with Liv Global. I stand neutral in the current development of the Liv Global business.

With that said, let’s dive in!

What is Liv Global?

Liv Global is an MLM company that describes itself as an ‘invite-only, global lifestyle community for passionate people’.

Liv is run by the co-founders of Visalus, Nick Sanicola (CEO), Blake Mallen (President) and Ryan Blair.

Nick Sarnicola, Ryan Blair, and Blake Mallen

I looked through corporate bios and the “about us” page on the Liv website, but I couldn’t find any mention of Visalus anywhere.

While Liv and Visalus are presented as two separate companies, there seems to be quite a bit of overlap between the two.

But after some digging, aside from Visalus affiliates being encouraged to join Liv to get bonuses, the two companies seem to be running independently of each other.

The company’s business model is similar to Visalus, World Ventures, iBuumerang, Jifu, and TraVerus.

What does Liv Global sell?

Liv’s marketed products are memberships. They give you access to member-only limited time offers on unique and innovated products most relevant to Liv members.

Liv offers experiences that are grouped as global and local to its members.

The company presents these experiences as a “Liv List”, which is like a bucket list of experiences that Liv members can check off now as opposed to “someday”.

Liv members can only join a member-only forum where they can submit, rate and vote for Liv List ideas.

I found a few other services listed on the Liv website, which are:

  • Liv Travel – Access to a discount travel booking engine
  • Liv Deals – access to an eCommerce platform
  • Liv Photobook – Photobook printing service
  • Liv Marketplace – Another eCommerce platform

Liv offers three retail membership tiers:

  • Access – 9$ a month plus $30 activation fee, provides access to Liv List global and local, Liv Deals (five a month), Live Travel (hotels only), Liv Marketplace and $40 in “hotel credit”
  • Premier – $49 a month plus $50 activation fee, adds all Liv Travel services, Liv Photobook and increases hotel credit to $100 on signup and then $50 a month
  • VIP – $99 a month plus $100 activation fee, adds Liv Photobook for Liv List moments, “VIP-Only upgrades” (not specified) and increases hotel credit to $200 on signup and then $100 a month

The Liv Global compensation plan

Liv Affiliate Ranks

Liv’s compensation plan has 15 affiliate ranks, which are as follows:

  • Active Promoter – Sign up as a Liv affiliate and generate 125 PV a with a standing monthly autoship order or 200 PV a month in retail membership volume
  • Bronze – Sponsor and maintain three Active Promoters and generate 2000 GV a month
  • Bronze Elite – Maintain three Active Promoters and generate 6000 GV a month
  • Silver – Maintain three Active Promoters and generate 12,500 GV a month
  • Silver Elite – Maintain three Active Promoters and generate 25,000 GV a month
  • Gold – Maintain three Active Promoters and generate 50,000 GV a month
  • Gold Elite – Maintain three Active Promoters and generate 100,000 GV a month
  • Platinum – Maintain three Active Promoters and generate 150,000 GV a month
  • 1-Star Platinum – Sponsor and maintain at least one Liv Platinum ranked affiliate
  • 2-Star Platinum – Sponsor and maintain at least two Liv Platinum ranked affiliates
  • 3-Star Platinum – Sponsor and maintain at least three Liv Platinum ranked affiliates

  • Diamond Elite – Sponsor and maintain three 3-Star Platinum ranked affiliates
  • Diamond Executive – Sponsor and maintain one 3-Star Platinum, Diamond, Diamond Elite affiliate
  • Diamond Global – Sponsor and maintain three Live Diamond Elite ranked affiliates

GV is short for “Group Volume” and is the personal volume accumulated by a Liv affiliate and their downline.

Retail Commissions

When they sell memberships to retail customers, Liv affiliates earn commissions.

  • Sell an Access membership and receive $15
  • Sell a Premier membership and receive $25
  • Sell a VIP membership and receive $50

Monthly generated retail membership volume determines how much residual retail commissions are an affiliate earns.

  • Generate 0 to 200 retail PV a month = no residual retail commission
  • Generate 201 to 500 retail PV a month = 10% retail residual commission rate
  • Generate 501 to 1000 retail PV a month = 15% retail residual commission rate
  • Generate 1001 to 2500 retail PV a month = 20% retail residual commission rate
  • Generate over 2500 retail PV a month = 25% retail residual commission rate on the first 2500 PV and 30% on any additional PV

It should be noted that this volume is based on the ongoing monthly PV accumulated by retail membership sales and not the initial PV value.

For example, Access Memberships accumulate 9 PV towards residual retail commissions. It doesn’t matter if it is a new membership or not.

Recruitment Commissions

Liv affiliates earn up to $160 on the sponsorship of new affiliates.

Recruitment commissions are coded and are based on rank:

  • Active Promoters can earn up to $75
  • Bronzes can earn up to $100
  • Bronze Elites can earn up to 110
  • Silvers can earn up to $120
  • Silver Elites can earn up to $130
  • Golds can earn up to $140
  • Gold Elites can earn up to $150
  • Platinum and higher earn the full available $160

Coded commissions mean that $160 is paid out on every newly sponsored Liv affiliate.

The sponsoring affiliate earns whatever the recruitment commission rate is for their rank.

If the sponsoring affiliate is lower than Platinum, whatever the difference is between what they earn and $160 is passed upline to higher ranked affiliates.

For example, if a Silver Elite sponsors a new affiliate, they are paid $130, and the remaining $30 is rolled upline.

Liv looks in the upline for a Gold or higher ranked affiliate to pay the remaining $30 to.

  • If a Gold is found first, they receive $10 ($140-$130), leaving $10 to be paid to a Gold Elite or $20 to a Platinum or higher ranked affiliate
  • If a Gold Elite is found first, they receive $20 ($150-$130), leaving $10 to be paid to the first upline Platinum or higher ranked affiliate
  • If a Platinum affiliate is found first, they receive the remaining $30

Up to $40 in residual recruitment commissions are paid on first-level sponsorship activity, which is affiliates sponsored by those you’ve personally sponsored.

  • Silvers receive up to $10 in residual recruitment commissions
  • Silver Elites receive up to $20 in residual recruitment commissions
  • Golds receive up to $30 in residual recruitment commissions
  • Gold Elites receive up to $35 in residual recruitment commissions
  • Platinums receive the full available $40

Residual recruitment commissions are also coded the same way that standard recruitment commissions are.

Residual recruitment commissions accumulated by Active Promoter to Bronze Elite affiliates are automatically passed up to the first Silver or higher ranked upline affiliate.

Rising Star Recruitment Bonus

In order to qualify as a Rising Star, a Liv affiliate is required to:

  1. Qualify at Bronze within thirty days of signing up; or
  2. Enroll three retail membership customers and generate 2000 GV within thirty days of signing up; or
  3. Satisfy either of the above qualification criteria for two consecutive months.

Liv affiliates who qualify for Rising Star earn double recruitment commissions (this doesn’t include the first 3 sponsored affiliates).

Residual Commissions

Residual commissions are tracked and paid through a unilevel compensation structure.

This type of compensation structure puts an affiliate at the top of a unilevel team, followed by each personally sponsored affiliate being put immediately below them on level 1.

When level 1 affiliates sponsor new affiliates, they are put on the 2nd level of the original affiliate’s unilevel team.

When level 2 affiliates sponsor new affiliates, they are put on the 3rd level, and this continues down as many levels as are needed.

Residual commissions are earned on accumulated membership sales volume within the unilevel team like so:

  • Active Promoters earn 5% on levels 1 and 2
  • Bronze and Bronze Elite ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 4
  • Silver ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 6
  • Silver Elite and Gold ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 7
  • Gold Elite and higher ranked affiliates earn 5% on levels 1 to 8

Leadership Depth Bonus

Affiliates ranked at Platinum and higher can earn past the first 8 levels of their unilevel team.

The Leadership Depth Bonus begins with a 2% residual commission from the 9th level of an affiliate’s unilevel team.

The first generation of a unilevel team leg is capped eight levels below them when a Platinum or higher ranked affiliate is found in level 9 or deeper.

This first-generation pays out 4% on accumulated sales volume (level 9 of the unilevel team leg down past eight levels below the first found Platinum affiliate).

After that, 2% is paid down as far as the team goes.

Star Bonus

There is an optional charge of $29 a month for access to marketing tools, which Liv uses to pay out the Star Bonus.

This bonus pays up to $8 a month on fees paid by sponsored affiliates. There is also a $6 second-level residual Star Bonus.

  • Platinum affiliates earn a $2 Star Bonus and $1 residual
  • 1-Star Platinum earn a $4 Star Bonus and $2 residual
  • 2-Star Platinum earn a $6 Star Bonus and $4 residual
  • 3-Star Platinum and higher earn an $8 Star Bonus and $6 residual

How to join Liv Global

The cost to join Liv as an affiliate is $399, which comes with 30 days of VIP membership.

Once a Liv affiliate’s first month is up, there is a $29 a month fee for marketing tools.

My Final thoughts

Before you decide to join Liv Global. I would recommend that you try out the products first. See if it’s a fit for what you’re looking for.

If you don’t believe in the products that you are selling, chances are others wouldn’t. Makes sense, right?

If you’ve decided that you want to join Liv Global, you must have the following if you want to succeed:

  • A support team and system that will help build your business.
  • A mentor that will take you by the hand and help you reach your dreams and goals.
  • A constant flow of new leads and prospects that want to join your business.

It is not easy to be successful in the Liv Global business and which is why more than 95% fail.

If you feel the person you are going to sign up with is not going to be able to give you the necessary tools to help you succeed…
