You are doing research on Kannaway because someone approached you about it and you want to know if this company is legit or a scam. That’s what we’re about to find out.
If you have been here before, welcome back!
Thank you for taking the time to check out my Kannaway review!
One of the common questions I get asked often is if Kannaway is a scam or not.
We’re going to take the next few minutes to take a look and get some answers.
The main concern I have for people who are researching this opportunity is that I don’t want them to get burned. In the profession of network marketing, anything could happen.
A company ends up shutting down in a few months due to bad business decisions for being non-compliant, compensation plan change, or the company not paying it’s distributors.
Even worst, your direct sponsor or upline leaves the company. Leaving you hanging to dry.
I understand that many of you are new. Sometimes we are not in a position to make a solid business assessment due to inexperience.
Additionally, I am going to offer you a way for you to escape the ‘9 to 5’ if you decide that this company is not for you.
More information about this program will be at the end of this post.
You landed on this blog because you are thinking about joining Kannaway because someone approached you about it or you just want to try out their products.
Unlike all the other Kannaway reviews on the internet, this is completely third party unbiased. I have no relationship with this company what so ever so when you read this blog post all the way through and pay attention, I can assure you that I am not going to ask you to join or buy.
By the time you have read this unbiased review, you will be able to decide if Kannaway is a fit or not. I do not promote, nor I am affiliated with Kannaway. I stand neutral in the current development of the Kannaway business.
With that said, let’s dive in!
What is Kannaway?
Kannaway is an MLM company that sells hemp products. The company was established in 2014 and is headquartered in San Diego, California. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Hemp, Inc.
Its product line is supplied by HempMedsPX, LLC. The supplier is a distributor of federally legal CBD products that are hemp-based products.
The company’s operations are run by CEO Blake Schroeder.
Kannaway distributors are not just “distributors” or “business partners” — the company calls them Brand Ambassadors (fancy, right?). According to Kannaway’s website, the company’s mission is to help its distributors achieve success by distributing the company’s CBD-infused products.
Kannaway works with brand ambassadors to reach their business goals while rewarding those who work hard in selling the products.
The company is similar to My Daily Choice, Forever Living and iGalen.
The company main products are CBD-infused hemp extract and it offers several specialized product lines. Apart from CBD-infused hemp oil, Kannaway also offers edibles, skincare products, and vaporizers. The company also offers apparel, CBD-infused pet products, and other goods.
What does Kannaway sell?
The main ingredient of Kannaway’s product lines is Hemp and its component CBD.
These range from oils (these are not similar to the essential oils that Young Living and DoTerra markets) to energy chews.
Some of the most notable products include:
- Premium Hemp Oil Caps
- Premium Hemp Oil Oral Applicator
- Pure CBD Premium Capsules
- Kannaway Pure CBD
- Kannaway Chocolate Energy Chews
- Kannaway Salve Travel
- Kannaway Salve
The Kannaway compensation plan
Kannaway has two requirements when it comes to earning commissions. First, you need to be a Kannaway Brand Ambassador and pay the $54.98 annual membership fee.
The second requirement is for you, the brand ambassador, to “maintain the minimum Personal Business Volume (PBV) required for your rank each month, either through customer sales or personal orders.”
Keep in mind, however, that you will not receive any compensation for every new team member you recruit. You will only receive a percentage every time a member of your downline makes a sale. This will push you to recruit more team members to supplement your income at Kannaway.
We won’t discuss every single detail of the Kannaway Compensation Plan, but here are some of the ways you can get paid.
Direct Sales Bonus
Brand ambassadors can earn a 30% commission on the Kannaway products bought by his or her new team members within a 30-day period.
FastStart 3000 and 9000 Bonus
To get the FastStart bonus, brand ambassadors will need to buy or sell what Kannaway calls the Kannaway Value Pack during their first 30 days. They will then enroll 3 new customers or team members who will also buy or sell any of the Value Packs.
Kannaway business partners will qualify for the Lifestyle Bonus when they reach the rank of Area Director and beyond. They need to stay within the rank for a month before they will receive the Lifestyle Bonus. They will receive the bonus in the third month.

What are the pros and cons of Kannaway?
Here are the pros:
- When you become an ambassador of Kannaway, you can sell uniquely differentiated products in a growing market. Not me-too products.
- There is a solid collection of hemp products in the company’s product portfolio.
- The annual fee amount that you have to pay in order to stay active is low compared to other MLM companies.
- The demand for CBD based products is increasing and this is a growing market.
Here are the cons:
- The starter kits can get expensive for distributors.
- The compensation plan is quite difficult to understand. It’s important to understand how you get paid.
- As of now, there isn’t any proof available to show the product’s work. In fact, there are complaints and negative reviews stating the products don’t work and/or they’re not made with real CBD.
- 95% of Kannway members do not make money.
My Final Thoughts
Before you decide to join Kannaway. I would recommend that you try out the products first. See if it’s a fit for what you’re looking for.
If you don’t believe in the products that you are selling, chances are others wouldn’t. Makes sense, right?
If you’ve decided that you want to join Kannaway, you must have the following if you want to succeed:
- A support team and system that will help build your business.
- A mentor that will take you by the hand and help you reach your dreams and goals.
- A constant flow of new leads and prospects that want to join your business.
It is not easy to be successful in the Kannaway business and which is why more than 95% fail.
If you feel the person you are going to sign up with is not going to be able to give you the necessary tools to help you succeed…
