Here are the challenges that I’ve experienced with using Click Funnels:
Social media
If you are posting URLs to social media, using a [name].clickfunnels.com domain. As you create your digital real estate. You may have noticed that things live FOREVER in social.
Some of the questions, I’ve asked myself:
- What happens when a better service comes along?
- What if you decide to move/migrate to something else?
- What if Click Funnels decides to shut down because you were promoting a product like CBD?
If they stop working. Click Funnels will not provide you with a forwarding service.

Search engine optimization (SEO)
You’re sacrificing SEO goodness (your domain reputation and authority).
When people share your pages, forwarding your posts, it benefits Click Funnels. It doesn’t benefit you.
Are you using your own domain to serve your Click Funnels marketing efforts? If not, then you are not able to control the Title tag, H1’s, H2’s and meta description. What this means is that you get no residual benefits from an SEO standpoint.
E-mail delivery
When it comes to email deliverability. Some of the big issues are:
- Opt-in email list
- List hygiene
- ISP whitelisting
- Sender authentication (SPF, Reverse DNS Lookup, and DomainKeys)
These factors play a very important role in the email delivery process
Gmail’s algorithms are starting to look at the reputation of your sending domain. Let’s use NateLeung.com as an example. Sending from [email protected], Google is looking at the @nateleung.com. It is assessing that domain’s reputation. They do this to help understand how it should “deliver” the email.
If you are using ClickFunnels for a lot of your pages – and using their domain and not your own, be careful!
You’re not building “engagement” for your domain and your inbox delivery could suffer. You can increase your opt-ins and build your list, but if your emails don’t make it to the inbox. It’s a bit of a waste of time.
The rules are changing for inbox delivery (Like they did for SEO a few years back). Be sure you’re not setting yourself up for disaster in the future.

My final thoughts
This is pretty big, right? GroovePages is brand new and you can see why I am excited. I know it’s a lot to take in. If you decide that GroovePages is for you, you’ll want to take advantage of the lifetime offer.
