MLM Truth: Why You Need to Create a Positive Environment in Your Business

A positive environment in any business plays an essential role in the development, growth and overall success of that business.  When it comes to the average online or network marketing business, however, the value of positivity is so much higher than in many other industries.  Why is that the case?  Why is creating a continuously positive environment a vital step in keeping your online business alive?

Why You Need to Create a Positive Environment in Your Business

The Prevalence of Negativity

Within the world of MLM organizations in general, the prevalence of negativity is undeniable and clearly identifiable.  You will encounter negative reactions and responses from your friends and family members at first when they first find out what you are doing to support yourself and your family financially.  You will receive rejections and more negative responses when you try to sell your products or services to other people and even more negativity when you attempt to recruit other people to follow in your footsteps.  No matter where you turn within your MLM business, Mister (or Mrs.) Negativity will be right there – ready and waiting to reveal their ugly faces to you.

Positive Environment, Positive Results

Studies have confirmed that a positive work environment can lead to a wide variety of positive results in more ways than you might realize at first.  For example, a positive environment will create positive employees and team members.  Even though negativity is much more viral than positivity, it is imperative to keep in mind that they are both contagious.  Once you have created a positive environment for your MLM business, then everyone that is directly involved with your MLM business will thrive off of that positivity as well – which is exactly the type of chain reaction that you want.

Why You Need to Create a Positive Environment in Your Business

The Key to Success

Positivity is the key to success when you are seriously trying to pursue a profitable career in the world of multilevel marketing.  Keep in mind that an MLM business is not the same as a traditional business or 9-to-5 job where you have guaranteed pay regardless of how much work you do and how much success you are able to generate.  You need to be able to feed off of a positive work environment on a daily basis in order to keep yourself fueled and pumped with the energy, motivation and drive that you need to keep going.  Even when things are not looking so good and the viral bugs of doubt and uncertainty start to find their way into your body, it is that positive work environment that is going to effectively fight against that negative presence in order to keep you on the right path.

You need to have a positive work environment for your MLM business primarily because positivity is what is going to lead you to positive growth within your organization.  There is more than enough negativity to go around within this particular industry, so do your business a favor and break the cycle by making the decision today to do something different tomorrow.

It’s your turn!

      Exactly. Thanks Judy!

I most totally agree with Judy! Once we focus on the positive voice in our head we’ll accomplish so much more! My kindies can’t even allow me to focus on people who have said negative things. It’s my job to give them a bright and cheerful day of learning. That’s not going to happen if one keeps focusing on negative things or past mistakes.

  11. Great post Nate!!! I’m a stay at home mom that loves to blog and also I have a company selling Scentsy products. I work better when my son is at school. Too many distractions is not good. Before that I used to work as a receptionist and my boss made me nervous with his sudden out burst. Made me scare to ask questions because he would respond is such condescending manner. Glad i’m not in that environment anymore…

    • Nate Leung says:

Such a profound message. It’s true that it’s important to keep a positive work environment. I do 2 things. The first is I keep my stance from my perspective by not allowing the negativity to affect my progress. Secondly, I create a work environment that is conducive to positive results. 🙂

  14. Keeping a positive attitude propels you into the future. A negative attitude keeps you stuck and drags you down. Life goes too fast to stay stuck.
