Your prospects are the lifeline of your MLM business the same way that customers and clients are the lifelines of any type of traditional business. Regardless if you are interested exclusively in direct sales or recruitment, your prospects are going to have to willingly buy into whatever you are selling (or offering) in order for you to eventually become successful within the world of multilevel marketing. What if you notice that your prospects simply are not taking you seriously? What can you do in order to turn things around for the better? There are three simple steps that you need to follow.
Focus on the Triangle of Credibility
Make sure that you focus on the triangle of credibility first and foremost in order to make sure that your prospects take you seriously. Keep in mind that the vast majority of your prospects (at least in the very beginning) will be people that you already know. They may not take you seriously simply because they know too much about you personally to take you serious professionally. The Triangle of Credibility connects you and your prospect to a credible expert with a documented track record of success that can further captivate the attention of your prospect (such as your Upline Director, etc.).
Conduct an Honest Self-Examination
Take the time to conduct an honest self-examination to focus on whether or not you are taking yourself seriously or not. Are you approaching this MLM business from a serious perspective? Do you have conviction in what you are offering? Keep in mind that if you do not take your MLM business seriously, then there is no way that anyone else that you try to bring into the organization will. This is why it is vital that you make sure that before you try to sell anyone else on the opportunity that you have already sold yourself first.
Improve the Quality of Your Prospects
In most cases, a low-quality prospect is not going to take any golden opportunity seriously. They may have already become too accustomed to the way of life that they currently live, believing that anything else is simply too good to be true. Focus on finding prospects that are in a higher ranking of quality than what you are right now. You need to find people that are just as hungry and ambitious as you are, but your real success is going to come when you are able to find people that are even hungrier and more ambitious instead. Those are going to be the people that drive your MLM organization towards a monumental level of success.
Make sure that you are doing your best to earn the trust and respect of each of your prospects. Remember that presentation is everything. The way that you present your materials, products or services and the overall opportunity will also play a significant role in whether or not your prospects take you seriously. Honestly hold a mirror up to your MLM organization, look for weaknesses and address them immediately.
