Powur Review – Another MLM Solar Panels Scam?

You are doing research on Powur because someone approached you about it and you want to know if this company is legit or a scam. That’s what we’re about to find out.

If you have been here before, welcome back!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my Powur review!

One of the common questions I get asked often is if Powur a scam or not.

We’re going to take the next few minutes to take a look and get some answers.

The main concern I have for people who are researching this opportunity is that I don’t want them to get burned. In the profession of network marketing, anything could happen.

A company ends up shutting down in a few months due to bad business decisions for being non-compliant, compensation plan change, or the company not paying it’s distributors.

Even worst, your direct sponsor or upline leaves the company. Leaving you hanging to dry.

I understand that many of you are new. Sometimes we are not in a position to make a solid business assessment due to inexperience.

Additionally, I am going to offer you a way for you to escape the ‘9 to 5’ if you decide that this company is not for you.

More information about this program will be at the end of this post.

You landed on this blog because you are thinking about joining Powur because someone approached you about it or you just want to try out their products.

Unlike all the other Powur reviews on the internet, this is completely third party unbiased. I have no relationship with this company what so ever so when you read this blog post all the way through and pay attention, I can assure you that I am not going to ask you to join or buy.

By the time you have read this unbiased review, you will be able to decide if Powur is a fit or not. I do not promote, nor I am affiliated with Powur. I stand neutral in the current development of the Powur business.

With that said, let’s dive in!

What is Powur?

Powur is an MLM company that promotes solar panels from different solar installers. In simple words, the company connects homeowners to solar companies in their region.

Powur was founded in 2014 for the purposes of revolutionizing the energy industry.

Jonathan Budd

The Founder and CEO of Powur PBC are Jonathan Budd.

This company, like all network marketing companies, allows associates to earn a commission for the sales of products and services, as well as, the sales of those on their team.

While there are a few companies out there like Ambit EnergyACN and 5Linx that offer power and energy for your home as a base for their business.

What does Powur sell?

The product, of course, is solar energy.  More specifically, it’s solar panels installed on homes across the USA.  Advocates, as they’re called in the Powur world, go about proclaiming the benefits of solar (clean energy, sunlight is free, dirty energy costs keep rising, etc).  Then they must evaluate the homes of the people they get to take an interest.  Quotes are made, and if the lead chooses to do an install, you get a commission.

So, the product is really an “installation”, and the actual physical solar panels are coming from another company.  It’s all about the leads, my friend.  If you can talk solar, know solar, and BE solar, you’ve got half a chance.

The Powur compensation plan

There are 4 ways to get paid:

Fast Start Bonus

You will earn this bonus by simply submitting 3 qualified leads to SolarCity within your first 60 days of the date of enrollment. This bonus allows you to earn $75, but you can only earn this bonus once.

20 Year Solar Residual Bonuses

You can make money by building a team and making sure that they continue to bring customers. You can earn in the range of $0.10-$1.00 per customer that your downline brings depending on the generation. You will make the lowest amount from your personally enrolled partners and the earnings will increase as you earn from more generation levels.

Higher ranks will allow you to earn from more generation levels, but it is not going to be easy to qualify for the higher ranks. This bonus is paid monthly for 20 years.

Lead Acquisition Bonus

You will be paid a fixed bonus amount when your newly sponsored partners become qualified within 60 days from their start date. Here is how this bonus is paid depending on your rank.

Qualified Partner: $75

Senior Powur Partner: $125

National Powur Partner: $150

Game Changer: $250

National Game Changer: $350

Hero: $375

Team Qualified Lead Acquisition Bonus:

This bonus is paid when Powur partners acquire new leads to become qualified within 60 days of their start date. The Powur partners must be part of your organization. You may earn this bonus after qualifying for Senior Powur Partner or higher positions.

There are other ways of making money through the compensation plan like the Team Performance Bonus. I must say that the plan is not that impressive as you will only earn $200 for each lead that turns into a solar installation.

How to join Powur

The Membership costs $499 one time to join. You will receive a license to the Powur platform which is an integrated system tied to Solar City’s infrastructure to track leads and team performance. Powur has also included online training to teach you how to succeed in the business.

What are the pros and cons of Powur?

Here are the pros:

  • Great earning potential if done right
  • Teaches the basics of entrepreneurial skills

Here are the cons:

  • Climb the ranks to earn more
  • Not much information on their website
  • The support system should be improved
  • 95% of Powur affiliates do not make money

My final thoughts

Before you decide to join Powur. I would recommend that you try out the products first. See if it’s a fit for what you’re looking for.

If you don’t believe in the products that you are selling, chances are others wouldn’t. Makes sense, right?

If you’ve decided that you want to join Powur, you must have the following if you want to succeed:

  • A support team and system that will help build your business.
  • A mentor that will take you by the hand and help you reach your dreams and goals.
  • A constant flow of new leads and prospects that want to join your business.

It is not easy to be successful in the Powur business and which is why more than 95% fail.

If you feel the person you are going to sign up with is not going to be able to give you the necessary tools to help you succeed…
