MLM Tips – 3 Ways To Sign Up More Reps Into Your MLM Network Marketing Business Using Social Media

Ever wonder how those people on social media are getting a ton of people to join them in their network marketing business?

You see them walking across the stage, receiving their oversized checks and sharing their story on the mic, telling how they have used social media to build their MLM network marketing business from scratch without any prior experience.

You’ve heard all of the raves about how awesome social media is when it comes to building your MLM network marketing business.

And with Facebook alone, you have access to over 1 billion users.  That is a lot of people to talk to!

You know you want to use Facebook to build your network marketing business because you’re looking for people to talk to and you’re not exactly sure how.

Instead, you’re banging your head against the wall and you’re wondering why no one is even paying attention to what you have to say and your warm marketing (friends and family) are straight ignoring you.

In this blog post, I am going to share with you the 3 ways to sign up more reps into your MLM network marketing business.

1. Set up your social media profile right way

Your first impression with your profile is the most important aspect when meeting a prospect for the first time.  If you get this right, your prospect will be curious, and hungry for more information.

Make sure you remove your company name and logo everywhere on your social media profile.  As you know, people buy people, not companies.  You are not an infomercial for your company so do not attach your name and products all over your social media.

Instead, show them lifestyle.  People always love seeing cool things like food, travel, entertainment, etc.  Be fun, engaging and entertaining!

Here is a picture of myself napping with a tiger on my most recent trip to Thailand!

2. Posting for-profits – What to post on social media to attract prospects

It’s important what you say in your videos, text posts, and photos.

People always forget that everyone is watching what you do.  Make sure that when you do post, it represents you and is congruent with your lifestyle.

For example, if you are in a health and wellness MLM, and all you’re showing is eating fried junk food.  I’m not saying he shouldn’t eat it, but he should be congruent with his branding.  This is very important because your potential prospect is watching you and they want to make sure if they are going to join you in your business that you are what you say you are.

Keep it positive and try to stay away from negativity.  I would even say hold your thoughts on the politics unless you can bridge the gap between a problem and a solution and tie it in with your overall message.

3.  Prospecting and recruiting 101 on social media

People don’t care about how much you know until they know much you care.  You are there to solve the problem.  Money should not be a priority when you are signing up new people in your MLM network marketing business.  This will set you apart from the crowd on social media.  The minute you stop making it a ‘money’ thing, people will start to join your business.

Here are three mistakes you want to avoid when it comes to prospecting and recruiting on social media:

Plastering your company and product name everywhere on social media.

As soon as you tell people the name of your company, people go straight to Google and it’s very possible that they will get inundated with negative information on the internet.  It will be very hard for them to get out of that hole.

Spending too much time with small talk.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t ask about your prospects’ day or what they did interesting.  You can do that but I would say get straight to the point. Because social media has time delays, it may take forever before you get to your point.  The messenger process can be time-consuming.  So the minute that your prospect responds to your message, let them know why you are reaching out to them and begin the exposure process.

Sending links or too much information.

This is the one thing I never do when it comes to sharing any information about my business.  I have to make sure they are committed to looking at some information.  If they don’t, then I will not share anything with them at all.  If they commit to the process, then I will commit to the process by sharing the information.

If you are just dropping links into people’s inboxes without their permission or sending the information to them prematurely, you’ll have a challenging time trying to catch up with them to see if they have reviewed your information.

So remember, commitment with your prospect is key.  Also, this is also an opportunity to see if your prospect is a fit for this business.  I always look to see how committed people are when beginning the exposure process.  If they cannot commit to a simple task as reviewing a 10-20 minute video and making all the excuses in the world why they couldn’t sit down to watch a video.  More than likely they may treat their business the same way.

Facebook recruiting – In closing…

Using Facebook is super powerful and it can help grow a wildly MLM network marketing business.  That’s if you use Facebook properly and what it was intended for.  Just remember Facebook’s entire focus on the community is to be social and fun.  They want their users to have a great experience and that’s their number one goal.  With that being said, you should use Facebook in that fashion.

The main thing you want to focus on is providing value and keep it fun, not spammy.

Nice reading your post after a while. Do the leads generated through social media actually convert into MLM sales?

    Another great post, Nate.

I’ve never had huge results recruiting on social media, but I have many friends and team members who have.

Of the people I know who do well recruiting on social media, here are some of the strategies they are using.

    1. Paid ads
    2. Facebook Live
    3. Creating groups

Without a doubt, most of the people doing well use the paid ads, because it is easy to set up, use and scale. You just have to be careful because Facebook doesn’t like MLMers.

Facebook live can be a very effective way to recruit if you have a lot of friends or fans.

Groups can work well. For example, if you sell weight loss products, you could have a weight loss group and post valuable content.

Those are what I see people doing.

Thanks for the great post, Nate.
