Is MLM Network Marketing Saturated?

I was recently sitting with some successful network marketers and we were talking about the future of the industry. One of the big questions that kept coming up was “Is MLM network marketing saturated?” We had some sharp minds in the room, so I saw it as a great opportunity to get a sense of the future of this industry. After much discussion, we came up with an answer that might not be satisfying. The answer to the question is network marketing saturated is no.

The Market for MLM Is Wide Open

Studies have shown that less than 10% of the population of the United States has taken part or is taking part in multi-level marketing. This is where the “No” part of the answer comes in, as it is obvious from these numbers that the MLM marketing industry has a lot of room for growth. With just a small number of people buying the products or selling them as affiliates, it is clear that the future is bright for network marketing, at least when it comes to customers. The good news is that the market is not saturated with customers yet, which means that it is still a good time to get into this profession and that you can succeed if you are good at it.

Too Many Opportunities?

Even though the MLM market is not saturated with customers, it is not saturated with tons of companies and opportunities. This would seem to be a good thing, but a large number of opportunities actually makes it very challenging to separate the good ones from the bad. There are so many new ones popping up on our radar every single day.  There are also a lot of new and upcoming companies that use similar names, which can make it even tougher to find an opportunity with a quality, growing company. Even though there is a lot of room for growth when it comes to customers, the market is becoming competitive but no saturated with people trying to take advantage of this.

IS MLM Saturated

The Real Deal

The most important thing when judging network marketing opportunities is to find one that is the “real deal.” This sounds easy enough, but when there are literally thousands of MLM companies out there it can be hard. You need to find a company that has good leadership and a decent reputation, as this is a good sign that they are doing an honest job and that their representatives are making money. This will take some research, but this research is crucial if you are going to find a good opportunity.

You should also talk with some actual people that are successful in the opportunity. They can give you first-hand knowledge, as well as the pros and cons of this particular MLM program. Reading reviews online is a good start but it is still important to speak with real people.

The Final MLM Verdict

My friends and I talked all night about MLM Network marketing profession and came to the conclusion that although the market is somewhat competitive and not at all saturated, the future is still bright.  There is plenty of abundances out there and having competition is healthy because if there wasn’t then there wouldn’t be a need for MLM Network Marketing product or service. If you take the time to develop your skills and your mind you can become wealthy beyond your wildest dreams.

  1. In a Universe of abundance this is beyond impossible Nate. Abundance exists, opportunities exist.

We just need to be creative enough to spot good ventures, and like you said, this is where due diligence enters into the equation.

Thanks for breaking it down Nate!

  2. Awesome post! There is still so much to learn and educate others but only if it is real and authentic, so much of the MLM’S are not….Thank you for sharing, Nate!!

Nate, I agree that the industry is not saturated. In fact, I think it is growing like never before! It is important to do your due diligence and check out the credibility and integrity of the companies that you are looking at. Take your time before making a decision.

  4. There is always going to be opportunity when it comes to this industry. Even though there are MLM companies popping up left and right, there’s only a small percentage that get involved as you said above. On top of that, there’s a lot of people that get out, or don’t work the business. So yes, I definitely agree with everything you said here!

    Nate,

I completely agree, and competition is a good thing. If something has lots of people competing in it, it means that it is something competing for.

So yeah, it becomes a case of only the strongest will survive, but that’s business right!? And MLM is no different.

MLM, Network Marketing, Internet Marketing, it’s all relative. It’s a business. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Bill Garner says:

Good words Nate! Network marketing isn’t saturated. There are many wonderful companies that offer great products and substantial financial opportunities. However, the Internet is saturated with wannabe “self proclaimed Internet marketers.” These are individuals who advertise themselves as experts, but they don’t have the background, the experience, the expertise, or the check.

High quality, success-oriented professionals can do well in any company that is reputable!

    To your success!

      Hi Bill,

I agree, so many people are pretending to be “gurus” pretending to know all of the answers yet many of them have yet to experience it. Thank you and appreciate the comments!
