MLM Tips: 7 Things Your Prospect Needs To Hear from You

Marketing is all about solving problems. In particular, it’s about saying the right things at the right time, to the right people. You can never say the wrong things to the right prospect and you can never say the right thing to the wrong prospect. If your prospects hear these seven things from you, they will be more open and receptive to hearing what you have to say about your business opportunity and provided that you are saying the right things to the right prospect, you will be able to give value and in the end, they will join you.

When Should You Quit Your Job To Do MLM Full-Time

There’s a Plan

Most people are afraid of MLM because they can’t imagine how they’d start to make money just jumping into sales without any experience. Of course, the notion of there being no system or help in place is false – you’ll help them (which you also need to tell them – see below), and there are tools in place for them to use to rocket off into riches. Just make sure your prospects know that, and you’re one step closer to making it.

Network Marketing does work

Sometimes, people will object to your opportunity pitch by saying something like, The business doesn’t work, or, I’ve never heard of anyone actually making money this way. Well, that doesn’t really mean anything, because people do make money this way, and they make lots of it. They just didn’t look for news in the right places. Show them your success story, and those of your colleagues.

It’s NOT hard, but it’s not easy

One of the most common objections to jumping into MLM is, I don’t have time. But, you do. In fact, MLM done right integrates well into just about anyone’s life. You’ll have to assure them of this, but that’s not hard. Show them how you did it. Prospects want to know your story and your results.

What To Do When You Have No Warm Market

Learn to gain value and in return give value

In order to get people to join you in your MLM Network Marketing business, you have to explain to them how they can make money with an MLM opportunity. Most people will respect you when you are being honest and if you tell them upfront with the proper expectations you will have a more stable rep in your business.  Show them that it takes is a little bit of work on your part to show them that it can happen. Again, show them your success, and promise them that, as their sponsor, you’ll help them along the way. Which brings us to the next thing your prospects have to hear from you . . .

Promise You’ll Help

Your prospects will feel a lot more comfortable if they know you’re going to seriously help them out. Since you’re going to be their sponsor, it’s your job to do this. In fact, if you don’t, you lose quite a bit – your downline, your time, and a whole lot of credibility. Let them know you’re committed to doing your job with them, and they’ll be that much more likely to listen.

Set a Goal

Once they’re nodding and starting to see that this is a viable option, help them set a goal. A good one is this: Get your initial investment back in the next X months. Work out how many months it’ll take, help them set up a plan, and get to it. Now that you know what you need to say, get out there and say it! Your millions and your downstream are waiting.

Now it’s your turn!

What do you say to your prospects when you’re assisting them in making a decision?  Is there anything you say in particular that is reassuring?  Please leave your feedback in the comments section below and I look forward to reading them!

When you first talk to a prospect is a key time for how your relationship will pan out- you provide great tips here.

  6. Hey Nate,

You can never say the wrong thing the right prospect and you can never say the right thing to the wrong prospect. That is a great perception not only for your prospect but also for yourself.

The one thing I like that you said is to be honest with them and let them know what it takes to build business. Showing them some of your successes and letting them know that you will help them build their business along the way will definitely help build the confidence they need to really get going.

    Thanks for sharing!

      Hey Sherman,

You are absolutely right. You can’t say the right thing to the wrong person and vice versa. Honesty and transparency is the key! Thanks for your comments!

    Awesome post Nate!

In my personal experience the one thing that has helped me the most is being available to the people I bring into my business.

So often I hear people say they joined with X,Y or Z and they can never get a hold of them.

Simply by being willing to pick up the phone and share with them my experiences I increased my bottom line.

I also believe in leading by example, I will never ask someone to do something I haven’t done myself..

      Hi Larry,

Once someone enrolls another rep into the business. Their work is not done. They still need to train their new rep and assure that they will be there for their success. I feel that it’s important. I don’t believe in holding their hand because ultimately they are responsible for their own success. Yes, Leading by Example is another one. Thanks Larry!

“Promise you’ll help” can’t be reinforced enough. I’ve sensed at times a feeling that some network marketers are too focused on the sale. It’s as if they’re trying to see how quickly they can make a sale and then move on.

Whether your business is MLM or traditional sales–but especially MLM–you have to be there for the person at the outset. In addition to helping the new member/customer get started on the right root, you cement a positive reputation of you and your company.

    Good reminder, Nate.

    • Nate Leung says:

      Hi Tom,

I agree with you. From the first exposure all the way to the last, you need to be there. I agree with you there. From that standpoint, once the sale is closed, then that’s when you have agreed to step in and be responsible for your new prospects success. Thank you for sharing Tom!

Hey Nate, I truly believe in networking marketing, there are 97 % people who quit in mlm. But hard work with proper directions must be need for success in any industries. Thanks for the tips.
