5 Simple Reasons Why You Need to Focus on the End Result

The end result within the world of business is the most significant factor for you to consider.  This is what will determine exactly how far your business will go on the pathway of long-term success and how long it will take for you to reach your desired destination.  However, most people seem to get too focused on the navigation directions that will show them how to get there.  Instead of focusing on the “how-to” process that is involved with making a specific amount of money (for example), your primary focus needs to be on the end result itself.  Why is that the case?

Focus on the end result

Setting Yourself Up for Failure

If all that you focus on right now is the “how-to” process or even expect to gauge the overall success of your business on whether or not you are able to become a millionaire overnight, you are doing nothing but setting yourself and your organization up for inevitable failure.  Keep in mind that many of the most successful organizations within any industry (regardless of specific types and campaigns) took several years to form and grow to the extent that they are today.  If you are not able to focus on the end result of a long-term process, then you are simply wasting your time and the time of your team members.

It Is All That Matters in the End

When you think about the overall world of multilevel marketing in general, the end result is all that matters in the end.  Regardless of how you may start off on your journey towards achieving success in the world of business, it truly does not matter in the long run.  Consider this journey as being more of a marathon instead of a sprint where only the strong will survive and thrive.

The Money is a By-Product of the End Result

Stop thinking about the money that you are making (or not making) today from your business.  Chances are that you are not going to make a substantial living right out of the gate, so if you are expecting to live the lavish life of a multi-millionaire tomorrow, you may want to lower your bar of expectation drastically. It is the end result that will provide you with the money for which you are searching; not the other way around.

Focus on the end result

Long-Term Success Requires More Than Money

In order for your business to survive and provide you with a long-term stream of substantial income and potential growth, you are going to need a lot more than just money.  There have been many professionals that have become millionaires in their respective industries that lost their drive and passion before eventually drifting backward.  Focus on building a solid foundation for your organization to hone in on the end result, because that is what will keep you in the game for the long haul.

You Can Help Your Team to Remain Focused

Lastly, by focusing solely on the end result, you will be setting a solid example for your team members to follow as well.  They will see that you are not overly focused on your small victories today but are overly excited about the major victories that you will be able to achieve in the long run.

It’s your turn!

I’ve experienced many times the inability to create a long term goal in addition to my short term goals. I need to remember that is a marathon and not a sprint, thanks for the reminder!

What has kept me on track is to look at my vision book daily of the things I would like to achieve. Not just materialistic things but what my goal for lifestyle will be. I’ve also tracked my day to day activity so I can hold myself accountable and determine if what I have been doing is leading me closer to the end result or staying the same.

    Great points Nate!

It can be SO hard to think of the finish line when the race is just so hard! I try to just prioritize and do a little bit at a time to stay focused!

Focus is the foundation for anything that you want to achieve in life. Get that down, you can do anything you desire. Thank you for stopping by!

Nate, this is such good information. I mentor families that want to help themselves and their children be producers and not just consumers. Your advice on focusing on the end result instead of just the “how-to” applies to what I do also. Sometimes, people, including myself, get so wrapped up in the starting and the details that they forget where they are wanting to go. I appreciate your helpful words.

    Great message Nate!

Building a strong foundation in any walk of life is critical to our overall success and well-being.

Focusing on the end result fuels motivation and keep us moving forward!! Worrying about the how-to’s breads distraction and depletes our energy reserves.

The process itself (the journey) is powerful! This is where all the “good stuff” happens even in the down times.

I believe that the Universe is “Always” working towards our higher good so when we find a positive solution in a negative situation we always come out stronger because of it!

By keeping our eyes on the prize (the end result) we will achieve greatness through our perseverance and belief that we could make it happen!

    Thank you Nate –
    Health blessings,
    Gena

Absolutely Gena! You’re right about everything you just shared with me. Thank you for the comments!

  7. Sophie Bowns says:

Wise words here as always. You’re right, it’s the end result which matters!

    • Nate Leung says:

Exactly. That’s all that matter. As long as you are focusing on the end result, the path to get there doesn’t matter.

  8. Matt Ritchey says:

I do lots of visualization. Using all 5 senses to experience it before it actually happens helps call in the desired result!

  9. Julie Kemeny says:

There are so many people out there that need help. I just focus on the fact that if I quit, there would be so many people out there that would not have benefited from the knowledge, encouragement, products and coaching I have to offer them. Thanks for the article, Nate!! Great content as always!

    Nate,

Thanks for the post here as a reminder to not forget what the goals are and where you want to be. I believe this was one of the chapters in the book “The 7 habits of highly successful people,” Starting with the end in mind.

  11. Esha says:

The end result to me is also the end in mind. I always want to think of where i am now and where i want to be.

  12. Clarissa says:

Love this Nate! Focusing on the end result and why makes the how easy! It’s a journey not a destination and we gotta have fun too!

    • Nate Leung says:

Yes, fun is something we all need to implement. You work hard all day and have no fun, that is definitely no life to live!

  13. Matt says:

Focusing on your end result is the most important key to your success. Nice post, thanks Nate!

  14. I agree with this. You have to stay focused on your end result. You have to know what you’re plan is and what you expect to get from it, step by step. Otherwise, you’re just stepping out into the fog. Thanks for this article. Very well done.

  15. Ah the end results, still waiting on mine….Great post Nate, I must not give up!

Your comments make me think of a person walking on a path: he can either keep looking at the 5 feet ahead of his feet OR look far ahead toward the end of the path. You have to look at the end result, just like you wrote today!

  17. Hi Nate,

As I was reading the second paragraph in this article. I thought about Apple. I remember when Apple did not have any market share, PC’s were really dominating the market. Apple launched the iPod, and change that industry. Shoot they changed the way people live their daily lives. Writing down your vision, and breaking into daily goals helps you stay in your business for the long haul. Making use of your emotional intelligence, and delayed gratification are big factors also. Just having that belief that you were called to make a difference with you business to achieve the vision. This a great article Nate!

    • Nate Leung says:

That’s a great analogy Karl. Great way to really assess the end result.

  18. Greg says:

Not knowing the end result makes it difficult to even begin. I’ve been known to get busy being busy but just running in circles really.

This advice is just what I needed.

    Thanks Nate!

  19. Hey Nate,

I like the point you made about long-term success requires more than money. The key here is definitely focusing on building a solid foundation that will carry you through while you keep your eyes on the prize! When you take those baby steps, you’ll end up at your end results out of the blue! Good share Nate!

  20. Zina Solomon says:

An absolutely amazing post. Thank you Nate! I appreciate you taking the time to put this together. 🙂

  21. Luke Blower says:

Really great points- especially for me the point about money being the by-product of the end result. You real have to shut that money getting thing out of your mindset, focus on giving value and leveraging your skills and resources and then you’re set.

  22. Amelia Rees says:

Great post! And i feel this can be applied to world outside of business too! Some really good advice there, thankyou for sharing 🙂
