How to Use the Power of MLM Duplication

As far back as I can remember the first multi-level marketing company I joined was not a good experience.  My sponsor simply gave me some information and instructed me to go out and “find two people” without giving me advice on how to do so. After a few weeks, I realized that this Network Marketing “thing” wasn’t working out so I quit and MLM Network Marketing left a horrible taste in my mouth.  Years later, I decided to get back into the profession once again and the experience was much different, as my sponsor took the time to explain to me the power of using duplication in network marketing. My sponsor was the catapult to my success and once I understood how the power of duplication worked, I shared this information with others in my group so that they could avoid frustrations I had to go through like the first one I had. Today’s message, I will be sharing some tips on how to use the power of MLM duplication.

How Duplication Works

To get the most out of duplication in your MLM company, you first have to know how it works. The simplest way to understand this process is by the phrase “Two plus two equals more.” If you find and sponsor two people in your downline and they then go out and find two people you will now have eight people in your network. If each of the new people gets two more people your network expands to sixteen and so on. If you set the goal of getting three people then your network will expand even faster.

The reason this is important is that duplication means more leverage and time freedom for you. With most MLM companies you will start to earn residual income from the other people in your network. This is when the real benefits of duplication start to roll in, which is why it is important to know how to do it effectively.

Tips for Duplication in MLM

In order for you to get the most from your network marketing opportunity you will need to follow these tips:

-Find good people: Instead of just taking on anyone that shows some interest, you should only let qualified, motivated individuals into your network. This will help you avoid the “tire kickers’ and others that aren’t really dedicated to building a serious business.

-Train them: Instead of just giving them a website you need to actually train the people in your network. By helping them to do their grow their business more effectively, you will actually be helping yourself to make money in the process.  Most people who do not understand Network Marketing feel that it’s wrong and I am here to tell you that it’s not.  If you have something of value to offer to the world, you should be compensated for it.

-Inspire your group: Just as you should set goals for yourself as an individual, you also have your group set goals for themselves.  Not everyone will do this but the serious ones will.  Just remember, this is a numbers game and that not everyone you bring into the business will do the business.

-Show them the power of duplication: You should not hold back information from your network just because you are afraid they will leave and start your own. Teach them how to grow their own network, which will only help you grow yours.

The Power of MLM Duplication

Don’t Waste Time

My only regret about MLM is that I wasted time with a sponsor that was not interested in helping me reach my potential. If you grow a network of motivated, dedicated individuals then you will have a much better chance of realizing your financial goals through duplication.

  1. Hey Nate, the tips you shared took me a long time to really understand. Like you, I wasted a lot of time. My sponsor was great, but the people that I brought in were “tire kickers”, and I kept running into them LOL… That right there let me know that I had to change something within myself and focus on qualified people more. Thanks for sharing this! It’s a great reminder!

Tirekickers are everywhere! Lol. No denying that!

Yes, I agree finding more qualified prospects is the way to go. Thanks Sherman!

Nate, funny because I just made a video today with a tip on how to create duplication. But I agree with you on this 100%. If you can teach new people a simple (key word) system that they can duplicate and teach others, your recruiting efforts have just gone down the drain. So yes it starts with the proper training straight from the get go.
    Love this!

Well said William! K.I.S.S = Keep it stupid simple.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Awesome tips here Nate!!! Thank you for sharing!!!

  4. Nate if I could go back and change one thing it would be ONLY choosing good, proven leaders to join my team. This makes your job easy.

I was trying to be a savior, not a leader, for many years, but eventually I decided to let go the non-leaders, get picky, and duplicate more easily.

Thanks for sharing the keen insight dude!

That’s exactly right. Spend your time wisely and spend your time with the ones who are serious. Thanks Ryan!

    • Chuck Holmes says:

I struggled with that for many years myself, Ryan. It’s not our job to save people or drag them across the finish line. In many cases, you want success more for someone else than they want it for themselves. That is a big mistake.

We need to work with the willing, work with everyone else in a group setting, and accept people where they are at. All we really need is three to five good people who catch the vision and want to run with us. We just have to turn over a lot of rocks to find those three to five diamonds.

  5. Hi Nate,

Re your first tip: ‘Find good people’ …

Absolutely – I could not agree more..!

Nothing is more frustrating than having people join your team who find all the excuses they can for not doing anything – especially when you’ve provided all the orientation materials, training videos and personal coaching that you can.

Time to move on and find people who are hungry. The problem is, I’m still trying to find out where those people hang out!

    Cheers,

    Martin.

I agree, success doesn’t come unless you have time management skills. It is all about the approach and the burning desire!

Here are some of my favorite MLM duplication tips.

    1. Set a good example at all times
    2. Have a simple system everyone can follow
    3. Work with the willing
    4. Create a strong team culture people are happy to be part of
    5. Understand the 20/80 rule. 80 percent of your team will not duplicate no matter what you do to help them. Focus on the 20 percent that do.
