5 Simple Ways to Reinvent Yourself in Your Business

If there is someone around you that he or she has achieved success without even seeing the face of failure, then let me frankly tell you that that person is laying. In order to be successful you have to face failure at one point or another, therefore, there is no shame in accepting the fact that you have failed or have faced failure in your life at some point.

This facing of failure is like a fact for a business person and every business owner during his or her life at some point faces failure and then has to reinvent him or herself in order to rise again. As inevitable is the occurring of failure, it is equally important to reinvent yourself in your business and rise again to achieve success and glory. I’ll share with you 5 simple ways of reinventing yourself that have helped me and that will surely help you with your business.

Envision Your FutureEnvision Your Future:

Although you might have initially started your business with a vision of your future self, what and where you will be, however, once you have faced failure, you come to realize that future is much more than just dreams. Although envisioning a future is dreaming something, which you want to be, however, failure adds the aspect of realistic dreaming to the vision. Thus, when you plan on reinventing yourself, you need to re-envision your future, but this time be a little realistic in your vision.

Write About It:

Reinventing yourself is a kind of experience which very few of us get the chance of going through and it is a transformation which definitely needs to be recorded. You must write about yourself, the kind of experience you are having, the people who are supporting you, the people who have abandoned you, the strategies that caused failure, the counter strategies that will help redeem the old ones and gain success and so on. Thus, documenting your reinvention is a good way of giving you a clear picture of things.

Visualize The Adjustment You Need To Make:

When reinventing yourself in your business, one of the most crucial things is the way you perceive your environment. If you consider your environment as dull and boring, then it will all act counter to your reinventing efforts. Thus, when you think of reinventing, along with yourself, you also reinvent the environment you work in, therefore, try to visualize all the adjustments you need to make in the environment to make it supportive to the reinventing process.

Create A Work Break Down:

While reinventing yourself in the business once you have envisioned a new future for yourself, the next thing you need to do is to identify the tasks that comprise your vision and that will take you to the place where you want to go. Therefore, instead of being dreamy about it the same way which you did in your previous attempt, make it realistic by identifying the work break down that needs to be accomplished in order for you to be in the future which you envision.

CourageKeep Your Eyes On The Goal:

One of the major reasons behind initial failures in business is the fact that people take their eyes of the goal they are achieving and in doing so they stray from the path of success. Therefore, when reinventing yourself, you need to make sure that this time you don’t take your eyes off the goal and throughout the day the image of your goal remains imprinted on your brain.

Now it’s Your Turn!

Have you ever reinvented yourself in your business? What were the reasons behind the initial failure? On which grounds did you reinvent yourself? How has it turned out for you? I would love to hear your experiences in the comments section below!

To your Success,

    Hey Nate,

Awesome post, sometimes we have to give ourselves permission to start over, mix things up and reinvent who we are and where we are going.

For some this can be a scary thought, but since we are always growing and learning, it makes sense to stop and make some official changes once in a while.

    Beth 🙂

For me, life is a learning journey. Each time we stumble, we should look down and recognize what we did wrong. I wouldn’t call that failure. It’s a way life teaches us that we need to change.

We all have the powerful ability to create our own life. It’s absolutely possible. As a matter of fact, your authentic or true self is with you right now. It waits for you. Genuine happiness and success will be yours, when you make the choice to find out who you really are.

A great reminder that failure, if dealt with positively, can only make us and our businesses stronger. Being a fairly new business, I have not encountered any large failures yet. I have taken the small ones in stride, learned from them and adjusted. Thanks for the great advice!

    Hey Nate
This post raised a lot of important, helpful points for regrouping after things have not gone the way we hoped. We are afraid of failure, but like you mentioned, anyone who has found success has probably failed at least once. And, the first piece of advice is particularly important about taking stock and refining your visions as necessary.

I love these five steps and the whole planning process and even the re-planning when things don’t work out. Now if only the doing process was so easy!
